CAMPAIGN FOR NO MORE MCI’S

No More MCIs!

The Coalition for No More MCI’s came together in 2017 to address the serious impacts of MCI rent increases on Rent Stabilized Tenants across the city. In the past five years, landlords in NYC have been granted almost $1 billion in permanent MCI rent increases approved by DHCR, in Rent Stabilized buildings where thousands of units are deregulated and displacement pressure mounts every year. While MCI’s are a part of New York’s housing laws, the program is exploited in order to drive up rents while tenants continue to live without quality repairs and services. Join the coalition and stop MCI’s from being a displacement tool!
